National Diesel Price Drops Again
The national diesel average took a slight tumble in the past week, falling nearly four cents to $4.077 per gallon.
Almost every region of the country saw a price drop during the week of April 24, according to the latest Energy Information Administration report.
The Gulf Coast was the highest faller of the week, seeing a decrease of around five cents, leaving the region’s average at $3.823.
The East Coast and Midwest averages each fell around four cents, taking their respective per-gallon prices to $4.151 and $3.984.
The West Coast’s average of $4.692 stayed exactly the same this week. The Rocky Mountain region was the lone outlier, with a gallon now costing $4.124 after a two-cent increase.
Overall, the price of diesel is $1.083 cheaper than a year ago at this time.
