USPS Announces Launch of 15 S&DCs

On September 7, the U.S. Postal Service plans to debut 15 new sorting and delivery centers (S&DC). 

The locations, along with their serviced zip codes, were announced in a July 26 USPS Industry Alert announcement to be: 

• Acworth, Georgia – 30101, 30102, 30152 

• Carbondale, Illinois – 62901-62903, 62918, 62924, 62966 

• Columbus, Ohio – 43211, 43219, 43224, 43231 

• Dayton, Ohio – 45440, 45441, 45448, 45458, 45459, 45475 

• High Point, North Carolina – 27260-27263, 27265, 27268 

• La Crosse, Wisconsin – 54601-54603, 54650

• Everett, Washington – 98012, 98021, 98036, 98037, 98082, 98087, 98203, 98204, 98208 and 98275. 

The already-activated Macon, Georgia, S&DC will also become fully operational on that date, the notice states. 

The release states that the “opening of the new S&DCs will not impose post office closures or cause customers to experience changes to the local post office retail and P.O. Box delivery services.”
