Two NSRMCA Members Recognized as Top Green Fleets

The National Star Route Mail Contractors Association (NSRMCA) — which represents the interests of transportation firms that contract with the U.S. Postal Service — is pleased to announce two of its members have been named 2022 Top Green Fleets

AJR Trucking and Matheson — both based in California — were among the 20 honorees for this year’s award. The award, presented by Heavy Duty Trucking, honors “leaders in sustainability efforts among all sizes and types of trucking fleets” across multiple categories. This includes fleet electrification; fuel and freight efficiency; engines that reduce emissions; and use of alternative and renewable fuels, according to its website.

“Matheson is proud to once again win Heavy Duty Trucking’s Top Green Fleet Award,” stated CEO Mark Matheson, whose firm previously won the award in 2021. “Sustainability and the use of alternative fuels has always been a priority of Matheson. It takes thought, planning and education to implement these strategies, but our valuable team makes it work.”

“We appreciate that our customers, as world leaders in the United States supply chain, continue to demonstrate that they too support green efforts,” Matheson continued. “We are committed to continuing our growth in the green trucking space. It is good for the planet, and good for business.”

“We are honored to be recognized among some of the best-in-class companies, thank you for the award,” stated Jack Khudikyan, AJR’s owner. “Truly, this would have been impossible to achieve without our dedicated employees and our amazing customers for having a vision of a sustainable world.”

A profile of all the Top Green Fleets honorees will be featured in the November/December issue of Heavy Duty Trucking magazine, as well as on its website.
