Thousands of Kenworth, Peterbilt Trucks Recalled

PACCAR is recalling around 8,000 trucks due to the possibility of brake failure.

The affected trucks are the 2021-2024 models of the Kenworth T280, T380 and T480; along with Peterbilt model 536, 537 and 548 trucks, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) notice

“When the brake pedal is fully applied and then released rapidly, the pedal plunger that connects the brake pedal to the brake valve may become disconnected, causing the brakes to fail,” according to the Feb. 23 notice.

A remedy is currently in development for the 8,008 affected vehicles, according to the release.
