Survey Shows Worst Areas for Truck Parking

The Southeast is the worst region of the Unites States to find truck parking, according to a recent report. 

The list composed by Trucker Path divided the country into six regions and used responses culled from its members. Whenever drivers pulled into any of 20,000 geofenced parking locations, they were asked if there were lots of available spaces, some available spaces or none.  

Twenty-three percent of the time, the Southeast was reported to have no available parking. The Northeast was a close second, with no available parking 21 percent of the time. 

The rest of the regions shook out as such: 

• South Central – No parking 20 percent of the time 

• West – No parking 19 percent of the time 

• Midwest – No parking 17 percent of the time 

• North – No parking 15 percent of the time 

The report also listed the stops in each region reported to have many spaces available.

• West – Petro Wells #392 (1440 6th Street, Wells, NV)
