PRC To Study Postal Network Redesign

The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) plans to examine the network changes stemming from the Postal Service’s Delivering for America plan.

The PRC will be issuing information requests to USPS, according to an April 21 release, in an effort to learn more about the plan and its initiatives.

The release specifically states that the commission is looking at the Postal Service’s efforts to create sorting and delivery centers in a bid to “reduce transportation and mail handling costs.” All gathered material will be made public on the PRC’s website

An online docket will also be established so that the public can suggest questions for the commission to ask once the notice is published in the Federal Register.
