NSRMCA: Private Contractors Are Key to USPS’s Success
The National Star Route Mail Contractors Association (NSRMCA) — which represents transportation companies that comprise the United States Postal Service’s surface transportation network — looks forward to working with incoming postal leadership and the Trump administration to ensure the continued success of this storied institution.
NSRMCA’s members make the movement of mail and packages throughout the nation possible. They have served the Postal Service and — by extension — the American people for nearly two hundred years.
With today’s departure of former Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, NSRMCA urges the USPS Board of Governors to expeditiously conduct its search for the next postmaster general and select an individual that recognizes the important role private industry plays in fulfilling the Postal Service’s vision of a modern, efficient and cost-effective agency when making their selection.
“The unprecedented transportation experience of these companies, ranging from multi-generational family businesses to some of the largest trucking and logistics companies in the nation, is only matched by their commitment to the safe, reliable movement of mail and packages,” said NSRMCA Executive Director Greg Reed. “They will be a critical component of the Postal Service’s future success.”
NSRMCA and its members will collaborate with the Postal Service’s future leadership to unlock the incredible capabilities and innovation of private industry partnerships.
