New RPDC Locations Revealed In Union Presentation

The second wave of Regional Processing and Distribution Centers, or RPDCs, consists of seven new locations.

A recent presentation by American Postal Workers Union President Mark Dimondstein revealed the next group of locations to be:

  • Chicago North, Illinois

  • Los Angeles, California

  • Miami, Florida

  • Nashville, Tennessee

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

  • Phoenix, Arizona

  • San Antonio, Texas

The presentation labels each location as either “new building” — meaning a new facility will be built, purchased or leased — or “re-stack,” meaning an existing facility will be remodeled or refitted with new equipment.

Phoenix and San Antonio are listed as “new building,” while Chicago North, Los Angeles, Nashville and Oklahoma City are set for re-stack. The Miami location is categorized as “no data on building.”

These seven will join the first group of planned RPDC sites, which are:

  • Atlanta, Georgia

  • Boise, Idaho

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

  • Chicago South, Illinois

  • Greensboro, North Carolina

  • Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Jacksonville, Florida

  • North Houston, Texas

  • Portland, Oregon

  • Richmond, Virginia

  • Santa Clarita, California

While Bethpage, New York, is also listed in the first group, the presentation notes that work on this location has been cancelled.
