National Diesel Price Stays Largely the Same
The national diesel average dropped by less than one cent this week to $3.794.
Regional pricing generally reflected this stagnation, with limited variation either up or down among the six regions, an Energy Information Administration report shows.
The Gulf Coast’s average rose two cents to $3.489, while the East Coast’s per-gallon price is now $3.86 after an increase of around one cent.
On the other side of the spectrum, the West Coast had the biggest price difference — falling around four cents — with the region’s average dipping to $4.424.
The Rocky Mountain’s average settled at $4.013 after a three-cent decrease this week, while a one-cent drop left the Midwest’s average sitting at $3.717.
Overall, the price of diesel is $1.924 cheaper than a year ago at this time.
