National Diesel Price Falls Slightly

The price of diesel saw a minimal decline this week, with the national average falling less than one cent to $4.098. 

Across the country, all regions except one had lower prices, according to the Energy Information Administration report for the week ending April 10. 

The Rocky Mountain region had the biggest drop of the week, falling by over five cents to leave the area’s average at $4.095. 

The East and West coasts each saw their prices lowered by over two cents, taking their respective per-gallon prices to $4.199 and $4.699. 

The Gulf Coast didn’t see much of a decrease — less than one cent — with the price now at $3.883. 

The Midwest was the lone exception this week, with a gallon now costing $3.968 after an increase of over one cent. 

Overall, the price of diesel is $0.975 cheaper than a year ago at this time.
