Matthew Ritter Named Interim Executive Director of NSRMCA as Greg Reed Transitions from Leadership Role

The National Star Route Mail Contractors Association (NSRMCA) — which represents the transportation companies that comprise the United States Postal Service surface transportation network — is excited to announce that Matthew Ritter has been appointed interim executive director. Ritter steps into the role with a strong commitment to advancing the association’s mission and continuing its momentum. His appointment follows the successful tenure of Greg Reed, who helped guide the organization through significant growth and modernization initiatives over the past four years.

Under Mr. Reed’s leadership, NSRMCA has strengthened its advocacy efforts, enhanced industry collaboration, fostered a collaborative relationship with postal leadership, and continued to support transportation providers serving the United States Postal Service. His commitment to the association and its members has left a lasting impact, and we sincerely thank him for his service.

While Greg Reed will be stepping down from his role as executive director, NSRMCA looks forward to continued collaboration in support of the association, its mission and its members. “It has been an honor to serve as NSRMCA’s executive director for the past four years,” said Reed. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and I am confident that the association will thrive under the board’s and Matthew’s leadership. I look forward to contributing to the association’s future success and continuing to forcefully advocate for the interests of postal transportation suppliers.”

Matthew Ritter brings extensive experience within the U.S. mail, general freight and brokerage industries, and is well-positioned to guide the association forward, building on its recent progress. The board of directors is confident in his ability to lead NSRMCA through this transition period while continuing to support its members and industry partners.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to Greg for his leadership and contributions to NSRMCA,” said President Jack Khudikyan. “As we move forward, we are fortunate to have Matthew step in to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the momentum of our important work.  We also look forward to working with Greg in his new role on matters of importance to both the industry and the association.”

Greg’s last day as executive director will be Monday, April 21, 2025, and Matthew will assume his interim role immediately thereafter. The association will continue its search for a permanent executive director in the coming months.
