FMCSA Sets New Meeting on Registration System
Federal regulators want feedback on how to improve the registration experience.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced an Oct. 21 meeting to get public comments as it continues to develop a modified online registration system.
The new system will “improve the transparency and efficiency of FMCSA’s registration procedures as well as implement statutory requirements related to the registration program,” according to a Sept. 20 Federal Register notice.
Specifically, the agency wants to hear from motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, insurance companies and transportation service providers. Interested parties can register for the hybrid meeting online.
FMCSA has already held two meetings on this matter this calendar year: one on Jan. 17 and one on May 29.
