FMCSA Pulls All-Ways ELD From Approved List

Fleets using All-Ways’ electronic logging device (ELD) have until May 26 to replace it, after a federal regulator delisted the product.

The All-Ways Track ELD was removed from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) approved list March 27, according to a notice

The device failed to meet the minimum requirements in a subsection of 49 C.F.R. Part 395.Specifically, that section specifies that an ELD “without a printer be designed so that the display may be reasonably viewed by an authorized safety official without entering the commercial motor vehicle.”

FMCSA advises carriers currently using the ELD to switch to using paper logs or logging software to record their service hours. After May 26, vehicles still using the device risk being placed out of service, as it will be treated as driving without an ELD.
