Diesel Users Finally Get Some Relief
For the first time in several weeks, the average price of diesel dipped, falling around four cents to $4.586.
Fleets in every part of the country paid less at the pump this week, according to the latest report from the Energy Information Administration.
The Gulf Coast dropped more than any other region — just over seven cents — taking the area’s average down to $4.281. The Rocky Mountain region wasn’t far behind, sinking around six cents to $4.801.
The Midwest’s average now sits at $4.439 after a decline of about five cents. On the East Coast, the per-gallon price declined just over one cent to $4.525.
Prices on the West Coast stayed relatively static at $5.687, falling just under one cent.
Overall, a gallon of diesel is about 30 cents cheaper than a year ago at this time.
