Diesel Prices Tick Downward

The national average price of diesel fell almost three cents this week. 

The per-gallon price is now $3.855, according to an Energy Information Administration report, with every region of the country listing lower prices. 

Prices on the West Coast declined more than any other region, dropping around four cents to $4.54. 

The Midwest’s per-gallon price is now $3.781 after a nearly three-cent decline. 

The East and Gulf coasts each saw price drops in the neighborhood of two cents, taking their respective averages to $3.886 and $3.555. 

The Rocky Mountain region’s average is now $4.077 after a price drop of one cent. 

The overall average price of diesel is $1.684 cheaper than a year ago at this time.
