Diesel Prices Sink for Seventh Straight Week
The average price of diesel across the country continued to fall, dropping nearly six cents.
That dip left the national average at $4.537 for the week ending Dec. 26, according to a report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), with every region of the country seeing lower prices.
The Rocky Mountain region experienced the largest drop, with the per-gallon price falling around 11 cents to $4.745.
The Midwest and West Coast each saw a decline of around seven cents, bringing the average gallon price to $4.402 and $5.068, respectively.
The East Coast and Gulf Coast also saw similar price drops — around four cents — bringing their respective averages to $4.808 and $4.164.
Overall, the nationwide price is about 92 cents more expensive than a year ago at this time.
