Diesel Prices Rise For First Time in Weeks

After weeks of falling, the national price of diesel rose two cents this week to $3.815.

All regions of the country reported higher prices, according to the latest Energy Information Administration report. The Gulf Coast’s average rose the most — four cents — to $3.532.

The Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions each saw a roughly two-cent increase, raising their respective per-gallon prices to $3.739 and $4.032.

The East and West coasts both saw minimal increases of less than one cent, taking their averages to $3.866 and $4.432, respectively.

Overall, the price of diesel is just shy of $2 cheaper than a year ago at this time.
