Diesel Prices Rise For Another Week

The average price of diesel continued its upward trajectory this week, climbing around one cent to $4.492 a gallon. 

The West Coast rose the highest for the week ending Sept. 4 — almost nine cents — for an average per-gallon price of $5.39, according to the latest Energy Information Administration report

Rocky Mountain region fleets are now paying around $4.727 per gallon, after a nearly seven-cent jump. 

The Gulf Coast saw a miniscule increase of less than one cent, taking its average to $4.171. 

Similarly, the East Coast and Midwest region prices decreased by less than one cent, with their respective per-gallon prices settling at $4.474 and $4.383. 

Overall, diesel costs 59 cents less than a year ago at this time.
