Diesel Prices Rise Across the Country

The diesel national average ticked up again this week, rising around three cents to $3.899. 

Fleets in nearly every region of the country paid more for fuel during the week ending Feb. 5, according to an Energy Information Administration report

Gulf Coast prices increased more than any other region, jumping nearly six cents to $3.702. On the West Coast, the average is now $4.551 after an increase of around four cents. 

Midwest fleets are paying around $3.738 after rising around three cents. 

In the Rocky Mountain region, prices increased less than one cent to $3.65. East Coast prices stayed exactly the same, with the per-gallon price sitting at $4.043. 

Compared to a year ago at this time, diesel is 64 cents cheaper.
