Diesel Prices Jump Upwards
Drivers paid more for diesel this week, as the price increased nearly four cents to $3.806.
Almost every region of the country had higher averages for the week ending July 10, according to the latest report from the Energy Information Administration.
The West Coast rose the highest for the week — up nearly five cents — taking its average to $4.46.
On the other side of the country, the East Coast’s per-gallon average increased more than four cents to $4.858.
The Midwest and Gulf Coast each had price increases a bit under four cents, taking their respective prices to $3.742 and $3.505.
The Rocky Mountain region was the week’s lone outlier, with its average price falling around one cent to $3.939.
Overall, the price of diesel is a whopping $1.762 cheaper than a year ago at this time.
