Diesel Prices Fall For Second Straight Week

The national diesel average fell once again this week, dipping around five cents for an average of $4.444. 

Every region of the country paid less for fuel during the week ending Oct. 16, according to an Energy Information Administration report

The Midwest and West Coast tied for the biggest drop in price — just over seven cents — taking their respective per-gallon averages to $4.304 and $5.528. 

The East Coast and Rocky Mountain regions each fell around five cents, lowering their respective averages to $4.404 and $4.664. 

The Gulf Coast’s average price sank just over two cents to $4.114. 

Overall, the price of diesel is around 89 cents cheaper than a year ago at this time.
