Diesel Prices Fall Marginally
The national average price of diesel dipped around one cent this week.
The per-gallon price now sits at $3.883, according to an Energy Information Administration report, with lower prices in every region of the country.
For the second week in a row, East Coast prices declined more than any other region — two cents — with the average dropping to $3.912.
Prices in the Midwest and Gulf Coast each dipped around one cent, with their respective per-gallon prices now at $3.81 and $3.579.
The reductions weren’t as steep in the Rocky Mountain region or on the West Coast, where prices declined less than one cent, taking their respective averages to $4.088 and $4.586.
Overall, the nationwide average for a gallon of diesel is $1.688 cheaper than a year ago at this time.
