Diesel Prices Fall Across the Country

The national diesel average dipped this week, sinking nearly four cents to $3.876.
Fleets in every region of the country paid less for fuel during the week ending Jan. 1, according to a report from the Energy Information Administration.
Prices in the Midwest declined nearly five cents to $3.75, more than any other region.
The Gulf Coast’s per-gallon price diminished around four cents to $3.565. Prices on the West Coast fell a tad over three cents to $4.618, while the Rocky Mountain’s average slid nearly three cents to $3.887.
Over on the East Coast, fleets are paying an average of $4.002 per gallon after a two-cent decrease.
Overall, the price of diesel is around 70 cents cheaper than a year ago at this time.
