Diesel Prices Drop Yet Again
The cost of diesel sank nearly nine cents this week, taking the national average down to $4.366.
Every region of the country paid less for fuel during the week ending Nov. 6, according to an Energy Information Administration report.
The Rocky Mountain region reported the largest dip — a whopping 16 cents — decreasing the area’s average to $4.489.
The Midwest also saw a double-digit decrease, dropping around 10 cents for a per-gallon price of $4.334.
On the West Coast, prices dipped nine cents, leaving the region’s average at $5.258. An average gallon of diesel in the Gulf Coast is now $4.032 after a fall of around eight cents.
A dip of nearly five cents took the East Coast’s average down to $4.294.
Looking from a year-over-year perspective, the price of diesel is around 96 cents cheaper than a year ago at this time.
