Diesel Prices Down Across the Board
The national average price of diesel fell again this week, dropping nine cents for a per-gallon price of $5.141.
Every region of the country saw a price decline for the week ending Nov. 28, according to an Energy Information Administration (EIA) report.
The Midwest saw the most substantial drop — around 12 cents — for an average price of $5.108.
Prices on the Gulf Coast fell eight cents, putting an average gallon at $4.699, while the West Coast saw a similar drop of nearly eight cents, with diesel now costing $5.666 a gallon in the region.
The East Coast had about a seven-cent decrease, dropping the price of diesel to $5.336. The Rocky Mountain region fell only four cents, putting a gallon at $5.392.
Country-wide, the price of diesel is $1.421 more expensive than a year ago at this time.
