Diesel Prices Dip for Another Week

The national average of diesel fuel fell again, shedding 1.8 cents to reach $4.004 a gallon. 

Fleets in every region of the country paid less at the pump during the week ending March 11, according to an Energy Information Administration report

Prices on the East Coast fell the most — 3.1 cents — taking the region’s average down to $4.12. On the Gulf Coast, the per-gallon price is now $3.702 after a 2.9-cent decline. 

In the Rocky Mountain region, fleets are paying around $3.992 per-gallon after a fall of 1.4 cents. 

Midwest and West Coast prices each fell less than one cent, taking their respective averages down to $3.913 and $4.651. 

Overall, a gallon of diesel is 24.3 cents cheaper than a year ago at this time.
