Diesel Prices Continue to Fall

Diesel fuel was once again cheaper this week as the average price fell around eight cents to $4.209. 

Fleets in every region of the country saw lower prices, according to an Energy Information Administration report

Prices in the Midwest plunged by 10 cents to $4.207, more than any other region.  

The Rocky Mountain area’s per-gallon price dipped just under nine cents to $4.268, while the Gulf Coast’s average is now $3.841 after a decrease of around eight cents. 

West Coast fleets paid an average of $5.069 per gallon after a seven-cent fall. On the other side of the country, the East Coast’s average fell around six cents to $4.155. 

Overall, the price of diesel is down $1.024 from a year ago at this time.
