Diesel Prices Continue to Decline
The average price of diesel fell for the 12th time in 13 weeks, dropping around seven cents to $4.889.
All regions of the country saw a downturn in prices for the week ending Sept. 26, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) report.
The Midwest saw the highest decrease — around 11 cents — dropping the region’s average price to $4.881.
The Gulf Coast’s average per-gallon price is down to $4.623 after a price drop of nearly seven cents.
The East Coast saw a five-cent decline, putting the average gallon price at $4.836.
The Rocky Mountain region and West Coast each had price drops of just over four cents, bringing the average gallon price to $4.885 and $5.567, respectively.
The nationwide average is $1.483 more expensive than a year ago at this time.
