Camire Tapped as FMCSA Acting Administrator
Adrienne Camire will be the next acting administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Camire served as chief counsel for the Federal Highway Administration during the first Trump administration, according to a March 7 release announcing her appointment, while also having two decades of experience in the private and academic sectors.
In the release, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy called Camire “a dedicated leader who brings executive experience, vision and a strong commitment to safety,” while Camire stated she looks forward to “working closely with all stakeholders to advance our shared safety goals.”
Camire is FMCSA’s fourth acting administrator since the last confirmed administrator, Robin Hutcheson, departed in January 2024.
