Camire Removed from FMCSA Website
March 24, 2025
After two weeks as acting administrator, Adrienne Camire’s name no longer shows up on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) website.
In addition, the March 7 news release announcing her appointment has also been taken down. There are currently only two people featured on FMCSA’s leadership page: Sue Lawless, executive director and chief safety officer, and Jesse Elison, chief counsel.
FMCSA has not provided a reason for Camire’s removal.
Camire previously served as chief counsel for the Federal Highway Administration during the first Trump administration. She was FMCSA’s fourth acting administrator since the last confirmed administrator, Robin Hutcheson, departed in January 2024.
