10 Roads Express Debuts Autonomous Route With Kodiak

One of the largest postal contractors has partnered with a self-driving truck company. 

10 Roads Express is joining forces with Kodiak Robotics, a California firm specializing in autonomous vehicle technology, according to a July 26 release. 

As a launch event, Kodiak completed a round trip of four commercial deliveries — including a coast-to-coast commercial run — with one of the trucks carrying 10 Roads Express freight nearly 5,600 miles in 114 hours. 

The truck went from San Antonio, Texas, to the San Francisco Bay area, before heading east to Jacksonville, Florida, and then back to San Antonio. 

As part of the partnership, 10 Roads will join Kodiak’s Partnership Deployment Program and could integrate Kodiak’s autonomous technology into its fleet in the coming years.
