The National Star Route Mail Contractors Association (NSRMCA), the national trade association for the surface transportation companies that contract with the United States Postal Service to move mail and packages between Postal Service facilities, seeks energetic and deadline-driven interns with prior writing experience. The interns will assist with all aspects of NSRMCA’s communications including news stories on the association’s website, a monthly magazine, press releases, social media content and promotional material. Interns’ day-to-day activities can involve anything from reporting/researching/writing news stories, composing press releases, layout/design work, interviewing potential feature candidates for suitability and social media management.

Candidates should have prior experience writing for either a professional or scholastic publication/website. Journalism experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates should be social media-savvy, have a collaborative approach to work and be able to frame complicated topics in approachable and compelling terms.

To apply, email NSRMCA Communications Director Cameron Ayers (cayers@nsrmca.org) with your best clips and a brief explanation of why you’d like to intern.
