NSRMCA Convention Highlights Direct Engagement with USPS Leadership

Association leadership emphasizes collaboration and strengthening their focus on serving the United States Postal Service

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Star Route Mail Contractors Association (NSRMCA) concluded its 2026 National Convention this week with a strong focus on direct engagement, collaboration and strengthening the relationship between the Association's members and their customer, the United States Postal Service.

Under the leadership of new Executive Director Trinette R. Cunningham, NSRMCA is advancing a clear direction for the Association: One Association. One Goal. Better Service to USPS.

“Whether you are an asset-based contractor or a broker, if you are committed to serving USPS, you have a place at our table,” Cunningham said. “We may operate under different business models, but we share the same customer. Our responsibility as an Association is to listen, bring people together and help our members be the strongest transportation partners possible for the Postal Service.”

A highlight of the convention was direct engagement between NSRMCA members and leaders from the USPS logistics team.

NSRMCA extends its sincere appreciation to Pete Routsolias, Chief Logistics Officer and Executive Vice President of the United States Postal Service, for supporting USPS participation in the convention and providing NSRMCA members with the opportunity to engage directly with members of his team.

Robert Cintron, Mike Melendrez, Terrence Townsend and Taylor Meyer joined NSRMCA members for candid discussion, answered questions and provided insight into USPS transportation priorities and operational needs.

“We are extremely grateful to Pete for making this engagement possible and to Robert, Mike, Terrence and Taylor for the time they invested with our members,” Cunningham said. “There is tremendous value in being able to hear directly from our customer, ask questions and better understand its needs. We want that communication and collaboration to continue throughout the year.”

NSRMCA Board President Jack Khudikyan reinforced the Association's direction and the importance of leadership alignment around its customer-focused mission.

“Our Board and Executive Director are aligned on where NSRMCA is headed,” Khudikyan said. “We want to bring our industry together, strengthen our relationship with the Postal Service and ensure that every decision we make as an Association ultimately supports our members' ability to better serve our customer. This convention demonstrated what is possible when we focus on that shared goal.”

Cunningham said the convention is only the beginning of a more consistent effort by NSRMCA to listen to its members, engage with USPS and communicate the value transportation suppliers bring to the Postal Service.

“Our message is simple: understand our customer, appreciate our customer and serve our customer,” Cunningham said. “That will remain at the center of everything we do.”

One Association. One Goal. Better Service to USPS.
